On Tuesday I was able to take the journey from Reno to Yakima. As I was flying into Yakima, I noticed it actually looks a lot like Reno, Nevada.
I had to laugh a bit – when I got my rental car that was “Compact” and I was given the keys for a Ford F150. Made me feel like I was in the country!
I had the opportunity to present to the local User Group at the Maker Space. The group was an outstanding! I talked about the concept of Master Modeling in SOLIDWORKS and many of the users had not considered this approach to their designs. The comments ranged from the product is a great approach to being excited to go back and use some of the new skills they had learned.
My favorite trick I was able to present was the ‘ENTER’ key – after you say OK to a command, if you need to get back into the same command again, pressing ‘ENTER’ is the shortcut on the keyboard. This saves you time from clicking back on the tool for a second or even a third time.
What a great group!
It was also ladies night at the Yakima User Group – Heather Hasz was there as the other presenter from DriveWorks.
